A Maternity Photo Session is a beautiful way to celebrate the magic of your pregnancy and capture the miracle of your growing belly. You'll cherish the ability to look back on this special time for years to come.
When Should I Schedule My Maternity Session with my East Bay Photographer?
The best time for your session to take place is between 28 to 36 weeks of pregnancy. You'll want your bump to be showing, but not be so close to your due date that you are uncomfortable. Contact me to schedule your session as soon as you're ready to share your news!
What Should I Wear to My Maternity Photo Session?
You should wear something that shows off your bump. Many women like to wear a long, flowy dress, while others prefer a form-fitting dress, while still, others may prefer something more casual like jeans and a shirt with a cute cardigan. Some like to bring 2-3 outfits for variety. The most important thing is to wear something that you feel beautiful in and can move comfortably in. I offer an online styling tool to help you visualize different looks and help you choose your wardrobe!
What Should I Expect at My Maternity Photo Session?
I will be putting you into poses and giving you prompts to show off your bump beautifully and from a variety of angles. If you are including your partner and/or children in your session, they will be incorporated beautifully to showcase the connection between all of you. My photo sessions usually involve moving through the location to capture the best light as the sun moves into sunset. Expect a variety of poses and backgrounds in your maternity session gallery. We usually shoot for about an hour, with time for breaks, to walk around the location, and to change outfits if needed.
About three weeks after your photo session, you'll receive your online gallery via email. From there, you can download the digital images, order prints, and share them online!
I can't wait to help you freeze these precious moments in time.
